Within the first 20 minutes of my shift we had a traumatic arrest come in (pretty much dead). MVC with at least one rollover/ no airbag deployment.

Probably a ruptured aortic injury (this is what I was told) because his abdominal and chest cavity were full of fluid and he was pretty bruised on his chest 

(could have been a tamponade??) But it didn’t matter because he was a blunt traumatic arrest with over 30 minutes of CPR performed pre-ER arrival so it was wayyyyy out of the time limit for much of anything to be done.
